Towards the end of last year you completed a survey about what you thought about life in Salisbury. This is to say a big thank you for answering the questions and to let you know what we are now doing with all the information we have received.

Over 3000 questionnaires were returned with a good spread of replies from across the city. There was a good response from the 70+ and 60-69, 50-59 and 40-49 age groups BUT only a 3% response rate from the 20-29 age group who represent 11% of the population and only a 0.2% response rate was received from the 13-19 age group.

Using the answers to the questionnaire work has now begun on drawing up a Community Plan for Salisbury which will shape the city’s future. However to make the plan truly reflective we really do need to hear the voice of the younger generation living in Salisbury. Above there is a poster advertising SCCAP’s AGM on Thursday 16 June which will have the theme ‘Bridging the gap – working across the generations’. We would like to invite you to come to this meeting and bring with you a young person or young adult you know between the ages of 13-29 so that we can get mixed age groups working together to identify key themes and issues . We hope you will be willing to be a mentor to a young person for the evening.

The draft ideas for the Community Plan will be available at Salisbury Library for view and comment throughout the afternoon on 16 June and at the AGM. Refreshments will be provided.
